The powered unit features a single motor, a 3-position reverse unit, an operating headlight, an operating horn, die-cast metal trucks, operating metal knuckle couplers, metal wheels, and magnatraction. Both units feature plastic body construction, die cast trucks, metal wheels, and operating knuckle couplers. The B unit has lighting as well.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good. The nose decals are heavily flaked on both units. Each locomotive shows scratches and paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. Each locomotive shows rust on the chassis and trucks. The instruction manual is not included.
