This is a Lionel 2041 Vintage O Rock Island Alco FA AA Diesel Locomotive Set. The Lionel Rock Island FA No. 2041 would be the last of the Alco FAs issued in 1969. This diesel did not have a horn. The powered unit was equipped with traction tires on the power axles, and a two position directional unit whose control lever was adjustable from the top of the body. A single vertical worm drive Type IIB motor powers two axles. The lettering was heat-stamped on these units and the sheet metal chassis have solid non-operating couplers.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There are light nicks, scratches, and spots of surface rust on these locomotives. Signs of light paint wear, chips, and rub marks are visible throughout their surfaces. Heavy dust has collected on their bodies, so the overall appearance of these items may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The wheels show signs of wear from previous use.
